The journey of K. Chinnadurai Gold House & Textiles is a true story that began with the dream of an ordinary man and blossomed into a trusted brand.
Mr. K. Chinnadurai gained valuable business experience during his youth while working in a textile store. Through daily interactions with customers and by learning the intricacies of retail business, a dream began to take shape in his mind:
“One day, we too should establish our own store and provide quality products to people.”
What started as a small dream gradually became the foundation of a successful enterprise that now operates across multiple cities.
The prosperous town of Eral, enriched by the Tamirabarani River and known for its vibrant trade, became the birthplace of this remarkable success story.
In 1970, K. Chinnadurai Textiles started its journey as a small textile store in Eral.
With limited capital but immense dedication, the store grew steadily through honest pricing, quality products, and a customer-first approach that treated every shopper like family.
Whether it was for weddings, festivals, or special occasions, K. Chinnadurai Textiles became the preferred destination for generations of customers.
So strong was the trust that customers often said:
“Purchases made from this store bring good fortune.”
After earning the trust of customers in the textile industry for more than four decades, a new vision emerged:
“The people who trust us for textiles will trust us for jewellery too.”
With this confidence, K. Chinnadurai Gold House – Eral was inaugurated on 21 April 2011.
The overwhelming love and support from customers quickly transformed Gold House into a successful and trusted jewellery destination.
The next milestone came in the world-famous temple town of Tiruchendur, renowned for the Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple.
K. Chinnadurai Textiles – Tiruchendur was inaugurated on 11 April 2016.
The branch received a warm welcome from both local residents and devotees visiting the temple.
Following the success of the textile store in Tiruchendur, the company expanded its jewellery business with the launch of:

Opening Date: 26 March 2018
The trust earned through textiles seamlessly extended into jewellery, making this venture another success story.
Thoothukudi, one of Tamil Nadu’s most important port cities and commercial hubs, became the next destination in the company’s growth journey.
K. Chinnadurai Gold House – Thoothukudi was inaugurated on 04 September 2020.
The enthusiastic support of the people of Thoothukudi helped the branch achieve rapid growth.
Building on the success of Gold House, the company launched a dedicated showroom for men's fashion.
Opening Date: 08 November 2020
Showroom Area: 9,000 Sq. Ft.
Designed as a one-stop destination, the showroom offers everything from wedding attire to contemporary fashion collections.
The journey that began as a small textile store in 1970 reached another significant milestone in 2024.
Thanks to the continued support and affection of the people of Eral, a larger and more modern showroom was established.

In Tamil Nadu’s capital city and commercial hub, Chennai, the company launched its largest showroom to date.

Showroom Area: 17,000 Sq. Ft.
This became one of the most significant milestones in the company’s history and growth journey.
The next phase of expansion took the company to Tirunelveli, a city renowned for the Nellaiappar Temple, its famous halwa, and thriving business culture.
